  8. fabrication companies. The system utilizes CIM technology integrating DOS and
  9. UNIX to minimize cost and provide maximum flexibility to the user. I-Cims was
  10. designed at the plant resulting in a product that fulfills the specific
  11. business requirements of metal fabricators

  13. The system is modular. It begins with CIM production modules and shop floor
  14. control and allows the user to expand the system as desired to include CAD,
  15. CAM, CNC, DNC, CRP, JIT, FMS, and EDI as well as traditional MRP and accounting
  16. modules. I-Cims is designed to facilitate Activity Based Costing (ABC) as well
  17. as reporting formats which encourage the development of trading partner
  18. relationships between the user and its customers and suppliers. Each I-Cims
  19. module ``plugs in'' to the basic system to form a seamless, integrated business
  20. tool.
